How Violet helps

Violet can help with the emotional, social and human aspects of caring for someone who is in the last stages of life.

We help carers in two ways:

  1. With one-on-one guidance from a trained guide who has cared for a family member or friend in the last stage of life.
  2. With information and resources that may assist them.

Who does Violet support?

Violet offers support to the person doing the caring, as opposed to the patient. If you have a patient in the last stages of life, you will likely meet people who are their immediate ‘circle of care’. It is these people who would benefit from the support that Violet provides. 

What to expect

Once you’ve sent a carer’s details to Violet, a Violet concierge will call the person you’ve referred within two working days. They will match the carer you have referred to a Violet guide and find a time that suits everyone. We can usually schedule a session with a week of the initial scheduling call. The carer will get a reminder an hour or two before the session, then at the scheduled time the Violet Guide will call the carer.
