Violet is a comprehensive virtual care platform for the last stage of life, covering all the emotional and practical needs through that experience.
Founded in 2023 and developed by a team with 25 years experience providing human services to support end-of-life carers in Sydney, Australia. Violet has deep expertise in this life stage. Our volunteer Violet Guides all have personal experience and with expert training have been helping families for decades, supported by specialist clinicians and other professionals in the field.
Violet takes all that care experience and now provides a seamless guided journey for you on this digital platform. Enhanced by an emotionally intelligent assistant called Violet, and with the option to connect with our community, or book a telephone appointment with a human Violet Guide at any time.
Violet will help you to plan for and manage this unavoidable experience, so it’s the best it can be for everyone involved.
Violet supports anyone. Those who are planning ahead for themselves. And those who are caring for a loved one who is approaching the last stage of life. Ultimately Violet is for all of us at some point.
The earlier we all acknowledge, talk about, and plan for this time in life, the better we are able to live our best lives, free of anxiety and concern about how we and our loved ones or carers will manage this stage when it comes.
Often it is the primary carer or next-of-kin of someone approaching the last stage of life who does a lot of the care planning and administration. In many cases they will be the main user of Violet.
You can set up an account in your name and specify who you are caring for. Or someone can set up an account for themselves and then subsequently nominate a carer or next-of-kin as a shared user of the account.
Initially Violet is only accessible via a referral from our partner organisations who purchase subscriptions on behalf of their customers. Violet works with health and life insurers, banks, aged and home care providers, as well as large employers.
